2011 CWA Local 4502 Negotiations Begin This Week

The negotiating team was set early this year and have met in numerous all day retreats -while also receiving comprehensive training from CWA District 4 and the Local. President Bellous established several methods of gathering input from the membership (including Town Hall Meetings) on your top three items that should be advanced to bargaining. Many of you took that opportunity and shared ideas that are solid and progressive. To everyone who took the time to participate; thank you! For those who weren't able; we urge you to make the commitment NOW, to vote on the contract when the tentative agreement is reached. Many of the "silent majority" out there called and emailed their thoughts on strategy, etc. .. And to the extent Local 4502 delivers a fair and equitable contract, we urge you to step up and VOTE!!

The top items of bargaining are very much what you would think. The majority of items gathered in the surveys were the very issues we lost ground on over the last 4 years. If you want more information on those top items, Local 4502 suggests you contact your Department Representative, as listed on this website under "Contact Us" They have been involved in the bargaining process from day one. Information should be posted on bulletin boards and this website. If you don't have a bulletin board, or it is not up to date, please give us a call at the Union office!
