Dear David,
The battle for workers' rights is happening all over the United States.
It's being fought at the negotiating table with Verizon. It's being fought in Congress, in state legislatures, at workplaces across the country, and on the streets of all of our communities.
This is a critical time for the labor movement, and it demands our strongest effort, our loudest voice.
This Thursday, September 15, at 7:30 Eastern Time, CWA is hosting our next Union Hall call. We will start off with an update on Verizon bargaining, then CWA leaders and activists will provide updates on our other campaigns.

In his major jobs speech last week, President Obama said, "I reject the idea that we have to strip away collective bargaining rights to compete in the global economy."
This statement was a powerful show of support for American workers, but now it's up to us to take on the job of building the movement from the ground up. That means ensuring that all of our members and activists throughout the country are working together in support of workers' rights.
We can't wait for it. We can't hope for it. We have to fight for it.
