OPERS Pickup Change

Reminder, effective with the paycheck issued 12/15/2011, the OPERS employee pension pick-up contribution rates changed for certain full-time employees covered by CMAGE/CWA.  The titles PERS PICKUP and PERS PENSION are the paystub descriptions.

CMAGE/CWA Section 17.2

• Full-time employees hired prior to July 24, 2011, PERS PICKUP paid by City 7% and PERS PENSION paid by employee 3%
• No change for full-timers hired on or after July 24, it remains PERS PENSION paid by employee 10%
