CWA Local 4502 Contract Update
On March 8, 2010 the Columbus City Council voted to implement emergency legislation in regards to the CMAGE/CWA Local 4502 contract. This means that the impact of the contract was immediate. Wage increases will be retroactive to January 1, 2010 and SHOULD show up on our next pay check (March 25th) The Union has received nothing from the City making us believe this will take any longer. If we are given any other information on when the increase will show on our checks, we will let you know immediately.
The actual contract books will be printed as soon as signatures are collected for each side of the bargaining table. Local 4502 has “overnighted” the signature pages to Cleveland for CWA to sign, and we expect it to be back to us early next week. Once we have those pages the Union team will sign and then we will forward it to the City. Once printed, all members will receive a copy. We will communicate with you as to how we will get this to each member. Several options are being looked at. For the time being, please feel free to use our website to access the final contract document. As always, if you have any questions regarding the new contract language, contact your Union Representative or the Union office.
