First Annual CWA Local 4502 College Scholarship Awards
It is with great pleasure that the Executive Board announces our first recipients of the CWA Local 4502 College Scholarship award. For the first time ever, your Union has funded up to $10,000.00 in college scholarship money for our children. It is one way the elected leadership of your Union is showing how Labor takes care of its members and their families! Our kids are the future of our Country and our movement. It is our hope that this example of solidarity takes root in our community and creates a better tomorrow.
There were 39 members present at the membership meeting and 32 of them submitted names of children that are college bound or currently enrolled. A lottery was held to pick the names from a locked ballot box and the following members were the lucky first winners:
