Local 4502 continues to show dedication and effort on the state-wide labor movement in opposition to Senate Bill 5. Your bargaining unit has participated in all Rally events in Columbus and is partnering with private and public sector Unions across Ohio in this statement of unity and solidarity for workers rights!
We have another mobilization event today at the Statehouse which starts at 1:00pm. There will be Labor organizations from across Ohio speaking with one voice. Ohio working class employees are not the cause of the economic crisis and the budget can NOT be saved on the backs of public employees! It is especially noticable that private sector Locals from CWA are showing up in support of collective bargaining laws although primarily aimed at Public employees. Now that, my Union brothers and sisters, is what unity and solidarity are all about!
A special note of thanks should be shared with the membership. Board member Cindy Craig (DoT) has participated in a Statehouse rally and represents the kind of dedication and service members should expect. This exemplifies the reason we elect individuals to work on our behalf, and Mrs. Craig continually provides that level of service. Union representatives and a few members have also participated at the events, knowing how critically important this is!
